_____________________________________
This Lollipop was created with procedurally generated shaders. I begin my exploration by exploring substances other than a lollipop starting with something more simple like jelly. Once I had gotten to the point where I was understand how certain values affected the subsurface scatter of the shader I moved onto something more complicated and tried to create a gummy sweet. I then moved on to create the final Lollipop material. I used noise that I stretched on a given axis like Y and used that same noise for the displacement and the specular to create the fine lines and grooves given the lollipop texture. I then created a cutting tool which made the cracked inner detail inside the lollipop to give the illusion of hard candy that has begun to crack like it sometimes does in lollipops.
